Response:

Thank you for the opportunity to address this with you!

Arthritis care is obviously a focus for AHS, and the Alberta Party plans to make the health system less fragmented, less misaligned with each other so that patients are getting the best care, with the most up to date care options...which is not currently happening. We need to use only evidence-based practices, and more in home and community based services, located where people live and work.

But more importantly, I'd like to focus on the word you used, "prevention." Our party will be placing significant focus on promoting strategies, education, and proven practices before necessity asks us to emergencies.

Outcome-oriented strategies only, which is why you, and those similarly engaged, need to play a role in educating politicians as to what is best for LONG TERM answers as our population grows and ages. I appreciate your questions. Keep asking them. Check out our shadow budget, where we detail every line of expense. We are policy oriented, and Albertan driven. If we're doing it wrong, tell us. Please.

Cheers. Let me know if you want more specifics, or have further questions.
