The media plays a major role in shaping public opinion by choosing to cover—or not cover—the important health issues of our day. At a time when health news is more widely written and read about than ever before, the lack of coverage about the issues people with arthritis face every day is alarming. Significant advances in arthritis research and treatment have been made over the past decade yet media has written little about them, the net result being that people with arthritis are not able to learn about or benefit from the advances.

In newspapers, on television, on the radio, and on the web, JointHealth™ works to make sure that people with arthritis and the public have access to the latest, research-based information.
