Reminder: Eight days left to register for the 2012 Joint Conference

The Scleroderma Society of Canada is holding its 13th annual patient conference and AGM in Vancouver on September 28 and 29. The event offers a full program of workshops, speakers who are experts in scleroderma and lupus, and focus groups.

Event items include:
  • A talk about lung issues and treatment options
  • A talk about Symptom Management Including Pain and Fatigue
  • Four breakout scleroderma focus groups on the following topics:
  • The Scleroderma Patient-centred Intervention Network (SPIN) - Managing Depression and Body Image Concerns
  • Personalized Medicine in Scleroderma
  • Make-up Tricks for Scleroderma and Lupus*
  • Dental Issues in Scleroderma and Research Results
After each discussion, there will be a question and answer session.

Registration covers the speakers program as well as:
  • An informal "Meet and Mingle" reception on Friday afternoon
  • Dessert Reception on Friday evening featuring the opportunity to view the very latest student research posters from the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group and meet the students and their mentors
  • Breakfast and lunch buffets on Saturday
