In this episode of Arthritis At Home, Dr. Jenny Leese shares research findings from her recently published paper “Experiences of self-care during the COVID-19 pandemic among individuals with rheumatoid arthritis: A qualitative study”. She highlights the importance of patient partners in inspiring and helping to develop the study. Dr. Leese also discusses ways to ensure diversity in research and share findings in a meaningful and easy to understand manner.

Dr. Leese is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa and the Centre of Implementation Research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. She is also a Visiting Post-Doctoral Fellow at Arthritis Research Canada. Jenny completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia, with a focus on ethical issues experienced by people with arthritis when using wearable technology in their self-care.
