During these difficult times, physical distancing measures have many of us longing for social connectedness. Dr. Jasmin Ma will discuss how knowledge translation and behaviour change science can help shape community within and beyond the research context. Learning objectives for this webinar include the following:
Dr. Jasmin Ma is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Knowledge Translation at Arthritis Research Canada and University of British Columbia with Dr. Linda Li. Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research, and Arthritis Society, Dr. Ma is focused on supporting strength training behaviour change and developing methods for tailored physical activity interventions among people with chronic disease and disability. Leveraging her experience as a kinesiologist and an American College of Sports Medicine certified inclusive fitness trainer, she works to bridge healthcare and community to provide physical activity participation opportunities for people with disabilities.
