What affects more British Columbians than heart disease, cancer, or diabetes?

It's arthritis.

Arthritis affects 1 in 6 British Columbians. That's over 600,000 people in BC of all ages - from children to grandparents.

During National Arthritis Month this September, the arthritis community, led by Arthritis Consumer Experts, is taking arthritis "on the road" to raise awareness and to change British Columbians' perception about the effects arthritis has on our communities, our families, and our lives with the "Where is arthritis?" tour.

We would like to invite you to an informative two-hour workshop about arthritis to answer your questions, provide new information to help you manage your arthritis better, and offer the opportunity to talk to a rheumatologist or arthritis specialist.

As part of the tour, Arthritis Consumer Experts will discuss arthritis issues in BC, including prevention, awareness, equitable care, and education.

Where is arthritis? It's all around you. Please join us at this upcoming workshop to find out more about arthritis and related issues.

WHEN: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., September 23, 2009
