JointHealth™ express February 20, 2008
A provincial election is scheduled for March 3rd, 2008. Arthritis Consumer Experts believes that arthritis, as one of the three most common chronic diseases in Canada, should be an issue of importance to candidates running for office.
Arthritis Consumer Experts has written a letter to each of the candidates telling them about arthritis and asking for their commitment to helping people who live with the disease, and we ask you to write as well. We must help the candidates in this election understand the arthritis crisis in Canada, and we can only do that if our voices are united.
Please take the time to download the election info pack provided on the ACE website www.arthritisconsumerexperts.org. Inside the election info pack, you will find a sample letter to your candidates, which you can use as-is, or modify to express your own personal views about arthritis. Also included: a backgrounder on arthritis in Canada and a printable version (PDF) of our report card on provincial formulary reimbursement plan listings for biologic response modifiers.
We encourage you to take the time to print out an election info pack and send it to all of the candidates in your riding. The voice of arthritis must be heard and this is a tremendous opportunity to speak out.
